Samir Elagra

Country Manager and Representative for Sudan

Samir is the Country Representative and Manager for i-APS in Sudan. He has extensive experience in the areas of food security and data analysis applying quantitative methods. Samir also has extensive experience applying practical knowledge and evidence-based data by developing learning products in the agricultural and livelihoods sector, including development of online and in person training materials. Prior to joining i-APS, Samir worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Agricultural Studies at Sudan University of Science & Technology. He served as an economic and business advisor for several organizations in the private sector in Sudan. Samir has an MSC and BSc in Agricultural Economics, and he is about to obtain his Ph.D. degree in Germany. With i-APS in Sudan Samir has supervised and managed i-APS expansion to include managing 8 projects and team of over 23 consultants, and over 80 field researchers, trainers, and capacity development experts. Samir is currently serving as a team leader for 2 activities and supervising team of 4 team leaders and 11 senior members.
