International Advisory, Products and Systems (i-APS) is currently supporting the program "Enhancing Food Security and Resilience of Rural Communities in Sudan" launched by the European Union Delegation (EUD) that aims to address the issues of food insecurity, climate change, and conflicts faced by rural communities. The program will achieve three main outcomes:

  • Increase the sustainability and profitability of smallholder agriculture and livestock chains
  • Create sustainable jobs for youth in food insecure areas
  • Promote equal access to naturalĀ resources to enhance food security and facilitate the return of conflict-displaced individuals.

For the long-term objective, the program will contribute to the sustainability of livehoods and food security in the targeted areas (Darfur, South Kordofan, Northern State, Blue Nile, Gedaref, Kassala and Red Sea).

i-APS will lead data collection in three states namely, Kassala, Northern and Khartoum states. The data collection methodology will include; desk review of background documents; around 20 Key informant interviews (KIIs) with relevant stakeholders; quantitative surveys (400 beneficiaries); and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with women groups in both states.šŸ–Š
