i-APS was contracted to provide an employment and labor market analysis (ELMA) for the project “Structural Strengthening of Employment Promotion and Vocational Training and Apprenticeship in Sudan” (SEPVA), commissioned by BMZ in 2021.
The project aims to strengthen the capacities of governmental institutions to promote employment and vocational training through labor market monitoring, social dialogue, and participative vocational training, in line with the needs of the private sector.
Since October 25th, 2021, all (GIZ) activities were put on hold until further notice. The project now looks for an alternative approach with new outputs, concentrating on private sector development with a focus on employment promotion.
The ELMA project aims to provide a comprehensive and insightful market outlook to understand the current complex situation in the labor market (both demand and supply side), while being aware of conflict sensitivity in Sudan. The project will provide an in-depth analysis and assessments to fill data and information gaps while building on the experiences and results from previously conducted studies in Sudan.
